5th Metals Industry Conference 14-15th April 2011
Following discussions with its industry partners, HERA has adjusted the date for the 5th Metals Industry Conference to the 14th of April 2011 with an additional optional conference day on the 15th of April. The capital city of Wellington will host the Conference and we anticipate great interest and participation because of the all-important industry-wide theme of “ Strengthening Productivity and Innovation”.
The Conference will start off with the opening ceremony officiated by a Government official and will include the launch of the newly-formed Metals New Zealand. A plenary session with invited speakers will focus on the Conference theme. This will be followed by break-out sessions by the Conference partners till the end of the afternoon.
The evening programme consists of the popular Metals Industry Awards Gala Dinner which will see individuals and companies from the industry awarded for their contributions to the industry.
SCNZ, NASH, NZSSDA and LAM-NZ have been confirmed Conference partners with CTNZ, GANZ and TIDA considering their contributions. Of great interest will be IRL, who will open their doors for a visit to their research facilities on the Friday. More information will follow.
