NASH Session - Steel-Framed Housing 2011

The Light Steel Framing session of the conference organised by the National Association of Steel Framed Housing (NASH) was well-attended and afforded delegates the opportunity to hear from Ken Watson, Executive Director of NASH Australia about bushfires and the resulting positive Fire Tests on a Steel Framed house.

Peter Thorby, Manager of Building Standards at the Department of Building and Housing (DBH) briefed delegates on the latest news with regard to the review of Standards related to the sector.

 

 

Derek Baxter CEO of Certified Builders of NZ (CBANZ) talked about the importance of the Strategic Partnership they had with NASH in NZ and presented General Manager, Carl Davies with a certificate commemorating this alliance.

To close day one, Pam Bell of PrefabNZ spoke about the many opportunities for Steel Framing in NZ. NASH held a strategic, members-only forum on day two to discuss future opportunities.
