The Ministry Of Business, Innovation and Employment released a discussion document dated 18 October 2013 to industry on the feasibility of establishing an ALL-Of-Government building materials solution.

The Ministry is taking a collaborative, co-ordinated, strategic approach as to how government procures building materials due to scale with forecasted spend of ~$3.3b per annum over the next five to eight years. The discussion document was an opportunity to collaborate with the construction industry and attached is the MetalsNZ submission forwarded to MBIE.
